Carol Ann Wilson passed away June 18, 2008 at Genesys Hospice Center in Goodrich, Michigan, at the age of 70. She suffered for five-plus years with bone cancer and a tumor on the brain. She was born Oct. 30, 1937 in Lapeer to James Butler Ivory and Bernice Lorene Kurtz.
Carol married James Darrell Wilson on June 30, 1961. Jim preceded her in death in 1982. Carol worked at The Millington Herald/LakeVille Aerial (one of Michigan's top newspapers) in Millington, as both publisher and editor for many years.
She then worked at other newspapers including the Lapeer County Press, where she retired from the newspaper business. Carol also loved to collect antiques and Depression glass, which was a lifetime hobby.
She was survived by her children, Jennifer Louise (Wilson) Sayles of Millington and Darrell James Wilson, of Caro, twin sisters, Janet (Les) Davis of Otter Lake and Joyce (Francis) Morey of Fostoria; grandchildren, Rebecca Marie Quist, Jessica Irene Sayles, Daryl-Jo Lorraine Jackson and Abigail Josephine Sayles.
Memorial service: Hudson's Funeral Home of Otisville, Michigan.
