Rachel Louisa Clayton
(31 Jan 1988 - 30 Jan 2005)
Clayton, Rachel Louisa
Passed from death into life on January 30, 2005. Born on January 31, 1988, at Glendale Adventist Hospital and raised in Burbank, she was first diagnosed with Leukemia in 1997 at the age of nine. For those blessed to know Rachel, she showed great maturity beyond her sixteen years in how she dealt with the disease, and how she embraced God's will for her life. She shared her passion for Jesus with all she knew. We mourn her passing and will greatly miss her, but are assured that she is no longer in pain and is finally Home with Christ, her Savior and Lord. Rachel's immediate family includes: father and mother David and Wendy Clayton, brothers David and Matthew Clayton; grandparents Gene and Joyce Jenkins, of Burbank, and David and Marilyn Clayton, of Arroyo Grande; uncles, aunts and cousins; Debbie Jenkins-Robinson, who preceded her to Heaven, Tami and Derek Kortepeter, Steve, Diane, Cara and Andrew Clayton, Mary and Ryan Murphy, all of Burbank; Paul, Marie, Sydni and Chasen Clayton, of Eugene, OR; John, Christi, Abby, Emily and Gavin Clayton, Phill, Nathan, and Michelle Clayton, all of Spokane, WA. A viewing is scheduled at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills on Wednesday, February 2nd from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. We will be celebrating Rachel's life with a memorial service at Calvary Bible Church, Burbank on Saturday, February 5th at 9:30 a.m. Memorial gifts may be given in Rachel's name to the Building Fund at Calvary Bible Church, 1101 S. Main St. Burbank, CA 91506.
