Services for Dollie Hazel Peterson, 85, Mabank, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, at Bartley Funeral Home Chapel, Grand Saline, with Bro. Mark Winskie officiating.
Burial was in Creagleville Cemetery.
Mrs. Peterson died April 27, 2008 in Athens.
She was born September 22, 1922 in Fruitvale to Oscar and Zula Allen Hazel. She was a homemaker and had lived in Mabank since 1990. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary for the American Legion #310 and VFW #4376.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill Peterson; sons, Mike Bridwell and Gary Bridwell; daughter, Shirley Glover; and sister, Betty Schmidt.
Survivors include sons and daughter-in-law, Bobby Bridwell, Mabank, and Ronnie and Donna Bridwell, Philadelphia, Pa.; daughter and son-in-law, Jo Marie and Harlen Elkins, Odessa; brothers and sister-in-law, J.R. Hazel and O.D. and Billie Hazel, all of Fruitvale; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers included Jim Hazel, Jimmy Woodrum, David Hazel, Richard Hazel, Bobby Ray Bridwell and Matt Hazel.
Spouse: William Howard Peterson 1923–1999 (m. 1972)
Burial was in Creagleville Cemetery.
