MAGNOLIA SPRINGS - Ronald Michael Diegan Sr., a resident of Mobile, died Wednesday, Sept. 9, 1999, at a local hospital. He was 61.
He retired as a sergeant with the Mobile County Sheriff's Department after 28 years of service. Diegan was involved in bowling in Mobile, coached junior bowlers and was inducted into the Greater Mobile Bowling Association Bowlers Hall of Fame. In addition he served in the U.S. Air Force in Korea.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Ann Diegan of Mobile; his mother, Clara Diegan of Magnolia Springs; three sons, Ronald M.
Diegan Jr., Michael P. Diegan II and Shon Diegan, all of Mobile; one brother, Richard Allen Diegan; one sister, JoAnn Stewart of Magnolia Springs and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. today at Pine Crest Funeral Home in Mobile. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. John Catholic Church in Magnolia Springs. Burial will take place in St. John Catholic Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements are by Pine Crest Funeral Home in Mobile.
