Claribel Thompson went to be with the Lord on December 12, 2012, she was 98 years old.
Claribel resided in Homer most of her life, she was currently living in Marshall at a wonderful home Whispering Meadows.
Claribel was born March 14, 1914 to Daniel and Edna (Arkensinger) Earl. They had seven children together, Ethel, Eva, George, Milo, Duane, Colon and Claribel being the youngest.
She spent her youth on the family farm with her father and grandfather, her mother died when she was very young.
Near the end of her life she was very anxious to see her mother she had never known.
On New Years Day she married George Pritchard, they had four children, James Pritchard, Elizabeth (Charles) Sleath, David and Jeffery who died as infants.
Claribel had seven Grandchildren,
She also has seventeen amazing Great Grandchildren.
After George passed away in 1964, she married Russell Thompson in 1966.
Most important to Claribel was her faith in God and her Family, she loved both very much. She was a lifelong member of the Eastern Star and the First Presbyterian Church in Homer.
She was a great cook and worked at Homer Schools and Darts Restaurant.
She was a devoted fan to Homer Athletics.
Claribel was known as "The Whistler" which she did frequently.
She also loved to dance and won many contests in her younger years.
Claribel enjoyed nature while gardening, walking around Homer and singing to the birds.
She had the kindest heart and would help anyone that needed it.
Claribel had a witty personality and a wonderful laugh to go with it.
Claribel was preceded in death by her Husband George, husband Russell, son James, Babies David and Jeffery, her mother and father and 6 siblings.
Burial at the Fairview Cemetery in Homer, Michigan.
