Christopher D. "Chris" Waller, 43, of Janesville, formerly of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, July 6, 2013 at Windsor Nursing and Rehab Center, Cedar Falls.
He was born April 13, 1970 in Owosso, Michigan, son of Perry L. and Diane K. (Hudson) Waller. He married Jennie J. Pothoff on August 1, 1998 in Waterloo and they later divorced.
He graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1988 and from Memphis College of Art in 1992. He worked as a carpenter for local companies and for himself as C.W. Home Improvement.
Survived by: two daughters, Olivia K. Waller and Elliott M. Waller, both of Janesville; his mother, Diane (Roger) Woock of Cedar Falls; his father, Perry (Deborah) Waller of Minnesota; former wife, Jennie Waller of Janesville; three step sisters, Tempest Woock of Waterloo, Nicoll Carson of Evansdale and Brianna Erlien of Minnesota; a step brother, Derek Erlien of Minnesota; and special friend, Laura Boudewyns of Janesville.
Preceded in death by: his maternal grandparents, Harry and Sadie Hudson; and paternal grandparents, Dean and Floris Waller.
Memorial Services 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Messiah Lutheran Church in Janesville. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Richardson Funeral Service, Cedar Falls, and also for one hour prior to services Thursday at the church.
