Passed away Thursday, July 17, 2008 from a deer-motorcycle accident. Terry was born July 26, 1957 in Kalamazoo, a son of Charles and Deanna (Brown) Van Ostran and had lived in Leonidas for the past 20 years. He served his country in the Unites States Army and was stationed in Korea. Terry loved sports of all kinds, country music, motorcycles and restoring old cars. He also loved hunting of all kinds, fishing and wild life. He is survived by his daughter, Tracie (David) Schoon of Kalamazoo; his parents, Charles (Deanna) Van Ostran of Climax; grandchildren, Samantha, David and Michael; brothers, Charles (Nancy) Van Ostran of Scotts, Scott (Carmen) Van Ostran of Florida and Douglas (Carrie) Van Ostran of Delton; his grandparents, Charles (Marie) Van Ostran of Alamo; special friend, Meg Bowen; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Kalamazoo Missionary Church, 5045 E. Michigan Avenue on Saturday, beginning at 11 AM, followed by a memorial service at 1 PM with Pastor Ken Smeader, officiating. A private family committal will be held at Ft. Custer National Cemetery.
