LANETT - Mr. Doug Edwards, 71, of Lanett died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2007 at his residence. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
Mr. Edwards is survived by his wife, Barbara Edwards; children Denise Lynn Terry of Austin, Texas, Michael Douglas Edwards of Lanett and Michael Lee Kimble of LaVernia, Texas; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Mr. Edwards was born March 22, 1936 in Texas. He was a veteran, having served with the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Edwards was a former owner and operator of an Amoco Service Station. He was a member of Community Baptist Church.
Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home of Valley is handling arrangements.
