QUANAH - Evelyn Newsom, 78, died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2008.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Eaton of Lake Palmer, Colo., officiating and the Rev. Tim Morris assisting. Burial will be in Quanah Memorial Park by Smith Funeral Home.
Mrs. Newsom was born July 5, 1929, to Mr. and Mrs. John Lantz. She married Paul James Newsom on Jan. 18, 1947.
Survivors include three sons, Randy Newsom, Gary Newsom and Craig Newsom, all of Quanah; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and four step great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Quanah Senior Citizens, 1411 Shaw St., Quanah, TX 79252.
