Mary Belle Jennings died January 7 at Grand Junction, and her remains were cremated and placed in the Fisk family plot at Grandview Cemetery January 17.
Mary Jennings was born in 1893 at Laird and she was the last family survivor of the Fisk family which included nine boys and three girls.
Her brothers, Art and Myron Fisk, were businessmen in Wray, operating a garage, Conoco bulk plant and gas station, and restaurant until the late 1930's. They sold their garage and gas business to the late Al Wyland in 1939.
Mrs. Jennings attended schools in Yuma County and graduated from Wray High School. In 1915 [1913] she married A. B. Jennings, a son of the then county judge.
A. B. was a former Wray Postmaster, worked for the Game and Fish Department, and was superintendent of the Fish Hatchery at Cedar Ridge until 1950 when they moved to Grand Junction to retire. A. B. preceded Mary Belle in death in 1950.
