Nancy S. Togias, nee Bruce, 78, of O'Fallon, Ill., previously residing at the Colonnade, O'Fallon, Ill., born Aug. 20, 1937, in Granite City, Ill., died Sunday, Sept. 13, 2015, at Freeburg Care Center. Nancy was a retired secretary/bookkeeper for International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 148. She married her lifelong partner, Anthony "Tony" Togias on September 29, 1956. She was preceded in death by her husband, "Tony" Togias; parents, Sereno and Dorothy, nee Greer, Bruce; a brother, Jack Bruce; mother-in-law, Helen, nee Vorgias, Ward; a sister-in-law, Venita Locandro; and a brother-in-law, William Togias. Surviving are her daughters, Toni Togias of Belleville, Ill., and Elena (Jon) Havens of O'Fallon, Ill.; grandchildren, Ian and Zoe Havens, both of O'Fallon, Ill.; a brother, Robert (Patricia) Bruce of Fairview Heights, Ill.; sisters-in-law, Catherine (Jerry) Gibbs of Fairview Heights, Ill., and Shirley (Ronald) Joshu of Smithton, Ill.; and numerous, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Nancy will always be remembered for having a book in her hand, her infectious smile and hearty laugh. Memorials are preferred to the Alzheimer's Association . Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, 2015, at Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 405 Huntwood Rd., Swansea, Ill., with Fr. Achilles Karathanos officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Mo.
