Samuel Kerr Greer was born 15 March 1882 in Chambers County, Alabama to Thomas Wilson Greer & Adalaide Octavia Kerr. He was living with his parents at the 1910 census on 16 April 1910 in Sherman, Grayson County, Texas. He married and later divorced Grace Winnie Shackelford. They were living in Nocona, Montague County, Texas, on 1 April 1935, and in Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas, on 6 April 1940. It appears that they had no children. He worked as a printer of newspapers. Samuel Kerr Greer died 16 August 1970 in Bowie, Montague County, Texas, and is buried there in the Elmwood Cemetery. Every census states that he was born in Alabama.
Samuel L. Greer was born about 1881 in Missouri. He married Sarah Ella Nitcher [LX7H-XX4] about 1905. He was living with his wife and their adopted daughters at the 1910 census on 16 April 1910 in Quincy, Adams County, Illinois. In 1920 they were living in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and 1930 in San Angelo, Tom Green County, Texas. He worked as a moulder in an iron foundry. Every census gives his name as Samuel L. Greer and states that he was born in Missouri. His death and burial are unknown.
