Eva Virginia Greer

Eva Virginia (Greer) Wilkinson was born December 4, 1916, in Brownwood, Texas to Rev. Dr. Baxter D.D. Greer and Eva Mae Dowty Greer.
She lived in San Saba, and Temple, before moving to San Antonio in April 1928, where her father was pastor of Highland Park Presbyterian Church for 19 years.
Virginia was a graduate of Brackenridge High School in 1934. She was a member of the Trinity Alumni Association, having graduated from Trinity University (formerly Westmorland University), receiving a Bachelor of Arts Degree as an Art and English Major. Virginia was a Charter Member of Oak Hills Presbyterian Church, member of San Antonio Musical Club, and a member of San Antonio Woman's Club. Most important in her life were always her family, whom she loved dearly, and her church to which she always remained faithful her entire life.
She was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband of 34 years, Cecil Olney Wilkinson; sisters, Anna Claire Goodnight and Sr. Mary Albert (Louise) Greer; brother, Baxter D.D. Greer; granddaughter, Susan Chiodo; and brother-in-law, Rev. Ernest Helsley.
Virginia is survived by her son, Cecil Greer Wilkinson of San Antonio; daughter, Virginia Claire Chiodo and husband Vincent, Jr. of Houston; sister, Kathryn Helsley; granddaughters, Jennifer Chiodo of Houston, Karen Chiodo Arnoldi and husband, Justin of Houston; great-grandchildren, Tessa, Dillon, and Ethan Arnoldi; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at Changing Seasons and Heart to Heart Hospice for their loving care.

Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Agnes Academy, 9000 Bellaire Blvd., Houston, TX 77036, c/o Sr. Jane Meyer, O.P. for Susan T. Chiodo Scholarship Fund.
