Jane Pinkney Offutt, was born December 9, 1844, in Jackson, Callaway County, Missouri, the daughter of Colonel Robert Robert Joseph and his wife Mary (Tate) Buckner. She was married to Claggett Offutt and he preceeded her in death on December 29, 1895.
A daughter is, Mary Aletha (Offutt) Fry.
Death Cert#44743aa:
Jane Pinkney Offutt, 84 years, 3 months and 16 days old, of Auxvasse, died at 2:00pm on December 17, 1918 at her home.
Dr. J.Y. Hume, of Auxvasse, pronounced death caused by Chronic Interstitial Nephritis. The informant was W.William Frey of Auxvasse.
Mrs. Offutt was born December 4, 1828, in Kentucky, the daughter of Mary (Tate) Butten, both born in Kentucky. She was united in marriage to Clagett Offutt and he preceded her in death on December 29, 1895. Mrs. Offutt was a housewife.
Arrangements were under the care of McPheeters Brothers Undertaking Services of Jefferson City. Burial was in Westminster Cemetery.
