HINESVILLE -- Charles H. Barnes, 57, died Aug. 22 at home.
He was a native of Tallapoosa and a retired Liberty County transportation director. He served in the Army and was a member and deacon of First Presbyterian Church. He was also a Mason and a Shriner.
SURVIVORS: his wife, Linda S. Barnes of Hinesville; two sons, Charles Cullen Barnes of Hinesville and William Powell Barnes of Nashville; his mother, Florence Crawford Barnes of Hinesville; two grandchildren, Raleigh and Anadell Barnes, both of Nashville, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews.
VISITATION: 6-8 p.m. today at Carter Funeral Home, Oglethorpe Chapel.
FUNERAL: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Hinesville First Presbyterian Church, burial in Flemington Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
