Benjamin Franklin "Richard" Hines Jr.

Benjamin Franklin Hines was the only son of Dr & Mrs B F Hines. He died on May 9, 1909, at the age of 21. Ben and Sam Shelton were rowing in Shamburger Lake when the boat capsized. Sam Shelton was able to swim to shore, but Ben drowned. Prior to his death, he had been employed by the firm of Goldsteim & Brown. His obituary was published in the Daily Courier-Times on May 10, 1909 and on May 11, 1909.
