Grace E. Shouey, age 87 of Semmes, AL, formerly of Shepherd; passed away Monday, December 7, 2015 in Mobile, AL. There are no services planned at this time. Grace was born in Branch County on July 11, 1928. She lived in Lower Michigan until 1964 when she moved to Shepherd and lived there until 2010. She resided in Semmes, AL for the last five years. Grace worked for the Mt. Pleasant Regional Center for 22 years. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and playing cards. Grace is survived by 7 children, Eileen and Dan Shouey of Midland, Ardella (Larry) Lough of Alma, Gayle Benzinger of Murfreesboro, TN, Diane (Cliff) Newell of Semmes, AL, Lorraine Shouey of Semmes, AL, Kathy Russell of Farwell, and Sharon Hollister of Saginaw. Grace is also survived by 15 grandchildren; and 32 great grandchildren. Grace is preceded in death by her husband, Dale Shouey; and her great grandson, Andrew Johnson. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Berry Funeral Home in Shepherd.
