Scott Allen Griffith, 30, of Houston departed this life suddenly Friday, November 16, 2007, in Baytown when his automobile was struck by a drunk driver. Scott was born in Channelview on February 22, 1977. After attending Northshore High School, he proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a softball enthusiast and member of the Trinity Valley Pit Bull Club. Preceded in death by his grandparents, Nelda Lucas Turk, Jesse Ray Turk, James and Jean Stegall, and Patti Miller; Scott was survived by two daughters, Krystal Ann-Marie McCollum and Skyler Simmons; his father and step-mother, Buddy and Sherry Griffith of Houston and mother, Tracey Griffith of St. Petersburg, FL; brothers, Erick Stegall and wife, Jennifer of Houston, Brian Griffith and wife, Becky of Baytown, Bobby Griffith of Houston, and Stephen Griffith of Liberty; sisters, Stephanie Griffith of Pinehurst, TX, Sarah Tadlock and husband, Kevin of Baytown; fiancé, Krystal Ford of Liberty; grandfather, William Ed Griffith, Sr. of Houston; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other loving family members and treasured friends. Visitation will be at Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home, 6123 Garth Rd.-Baytown, 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, November 21, 2007. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Friday, November 23, 2007 at San Jacinto Baptist Church, 310 West P Street, Deer Park, TX, Pastor Chris Richey, officiating. Interment will follow at Independence Cemetery, Bedias, TX. Honoring the family as pallbearers will be, Stephen Griffith, Brian Griffith, Jason Peters, Berto Gonzalez, Brett Meyers, Jonathan Love, Scooter Miller and Justin Ezell.
