The wedding was celebrated at 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon
in Grace Church of Hans Kierstede Hudson, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles I. Hudson,
and Miss Ethel Le Roy deKoven, the daughter of Mr. and Reginald de Koven.
The church was elaborately decorated.Huge boquets of Lillies of the valley, tied
with white satin streamers waved on both sides of the chancel which was banked with palms and easter lilies.
The stone pillars of the church were almost hidden in green, broken by poinsiettias.
The ushers who seated the guests and headed the bridal party were Walter Kobbe, Alfred Macy, Rowland Stebbings, John H. Reynolds, Campbell W. Steward and Robert Le Roy.
While the guests were arriving a musical programme was rendered, being selections witht he harp, organ and violin, the latter played
by Nathan Franko. A full vested choir was used. The choir entered singing "The Voice that Breathed Oer Eden."
The bridal party came up the nave while the march from the second act of Tannhauser" was being played.
Following the ushers came the bridesmaids, the Misses Maude R. Borland, Gladys F. Waterbury, Margaret A. Stoddard, Evelyn Rives Smith, Grace Moore
and Loise N. Cruice, the latter of Philadelphia.Just before the bride came Miss Adelaide Chatfield-Taylor, her cousin, who acted as maid of
honor.
The bride, who walked up the nave on the arm of her father wore a white lace gown, fashioned from a lace shawl, which had been made for
Princess Clementine of Belgium. Her tuille veil was caught with orange blossoms, and she wore a diamond corsage ornament, the gift of
the bridegroom's parents.She carried a bouquet of white orchids.
The maid of honor was in pink chiffon and satin trimmed with gold fringe and brown marabout, with a large pink hat, wreathed in
pink roses and marabout. The bridesmaids were all dressed alike in pink chiffon over yellow satin trimmed with marabout and gold fringe.Their hats were also trimmed with marabout.The attendants carried boquets of pink roses.
The ceremony was performed by the Right Rev. George William Douglas, assisted by the Rev. Dr. Slattery. Between the betrothal and marriage service, the
choir sang an arrangement of a duet between Lohengrin and Elisa from "Lohengrin". C. Alan Huson acted as best man for his brother.
The church ceremony was followed by a reception at the home of the bride's parents, 42 East Sixty-Sixty Street.The bride and bridegroom
received congratulations under an arbor of white roses placed in the hall on the second floor.
A buffet supper was served, the table, which extended the entire length of the dining room, being decorated with cut flowers. Franko's Orchestra played on one end of the drawing room, and between 5 and 6 o'clock 400 people attended the reception.
The couple let last night on a short bridal trip before sailing for Egypt at the end of the week.They expect to return to pass the summer on Long
Island, and will have a house of their own in town next Winter.
Miss DeKoven's relatives from Chicago included Mrs. Chatfield Taylor and Mrs. Robert McGann, her sisters; Miss Adelaide Chatfield-Taylor, a niece; Walter Farwell, her brother, and Mrs. Farwell.
Members of Mr. Hudson's family included his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles I. Hudson, Percy Hudson, his brother and Mrs. Hudson and C. Alan Hudson.
