COKER | Margie P. Ball, age 86, born August 22, 1928 went home to be with her Lord March 30, 2015, at Hospice of West Alabama. Graveside services will be held on April 3, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Coker Cemetery in Coker, Alabama with Pastor Greg Tucker presiding and Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Luncheon and Celebration of her life will follow at the Coker Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis V. Ball; son Bobby Fisher; parents, Lucy and Russell Poole and daughter-in-law, Martha Fisher.
Margie Ball loved life, and her life was in her children, grandchildren and the Community of Coker, Alabama. Margie lived simply so that others could simply live, we all knew of her kind and generous heart. Some of her favorite things to do were to hang out with granddaughter Kati, Video Chat with granddaughter Lora and to talk on the phone. Her family lovingly referred to her as Coker Central, if you didn't know, wanted to know, or had to know, you called Margie. Her love for her community and church was something that was exemplified in her involvement and service to the Coker Community and the Coker Cumberland Presbyterian Church which she was actively involved in leading up to her death.
Margie was loved by many people, she will be sorely missed by all of us who loved her and worked alongside her. She will be joining those family members and loved ones who have gone before her.
Honorary pallbearers include Sherry Singley, Coker Cumberland Presbyterian Church, the Coker Presbyterian Women (CPW), Doctors and Nurses of DCH Hospitals, Nurses and Caring staff of Hospice of West Alabama, and the Coker Volunteer Fire Department.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Coker Presbyterian Women and the Coker Cemetery Fund.
