MORRISON, Louise Hasson, 75, a 35-year resident of Lake Martin, AL, died at home, on Sunday, July 12, 2009, from complications of long-term chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2009, at 10:00 a.m., from the Chapel of Prattville Memorial, with Reverend John Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Prattville Memory Gardens, with Prattville Memorial Chapel directing. Mrs. Morrison earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Troy University, followed by a 28-year professional career as an educator in the Montgomery County and Elmore County School Systems. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who was deeply loved and will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Braunda Sue Morrison and one sister, Emily Anthony. She is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years, Jim D. Morrison; two daughters and sons-in-law, Leigh and Doug Pate, Julia and Bill Wallace; five grandchildren, Jon Pate, Will Wallace, Anna Pate, Cullen Wallace, and Mori Wallace; two sisters, Joann Darwin and Miriam (Earl) Shannon, and many other extended family members and friends. Active pallbearers will be Jon Pate, Will Wallace, Cullen Wallace, Bill Wallace, Doug Pate, and Dan Brooks. Honorary pallbearers will be Anna Pate and Mori Wallace. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Hospice of Montgomery, 1111 Holloway Park, Montgomery, AL 36117 (www.hospiceofmontgomery.org). The family will receive friends at Prattville Memorial Chapel on Tuesday morning from 9:00 until 10:00 a.m.
