Robert was born in Miss and came to Texas as a young boy. He married Ethelene Kelly and they lived in Kosse where Robert was a rancher. He loved those cows and he was a great guy and loved by all. He had 3 brothers, Willie, Charlie and Billy Gene and one sister Louise Ellett. Robert and Ethelene never had children although they both were good to their nieces and nephews from both sides of the family.
