From his obituary: Edwardsburg. Harold L. Taber died at 1:40 a.m. on Saturday, April 6, 1996 at Cass County Medical Care Facility after an illness. Mr. Taber retired from Buick Motor Division as an assembly line worker. He was born Sept 25, 1909 in Lennon, Michigan. One June 29, 1929 he married Chrystal E. Woodthop in Durand, Michigan. She died Dec. 14, 1970. On March 24 1971 in Bonita Springs, Florida he married Ella J. Hillier. She died Dec. 4, 1980. On Sept. 19, 1981 he married Florence Peebles in Niles. She survives with two daughters, Joyce Shields of Flushing, Michigan and Donna Tripp of Oscoda, Michigan, four grandchildren, six great grandchildren, three step grandchildren and a sister, Eva McNally of Rose City, Michigan. Harold Taber was a member of Coulter's Chapel Church of God.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Connelly Funeral home in Cassopolis. Burial will be in Mission Hills Memorial Gardens, Sumnerville. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
