John Peterson Dies After Long Illness
Following several years of poor health John Peterson died suddenly early last Friday morning before all members of his family could reach his bedside. Mr. Peterson was born in Sweden in 1855. He came to America when 19 years of age and was married in 1894 to Miss Emma Erickson, eight children being born to them. They reside in or near New Plymouth and are Mr. Harry Peterson, Mrs. Frank Noyes, Mr. Hilmer Peterson, Miss Gladys, Claude, Johnny, Curtis and Carrol. Besides his own immediate family, six sisters in Sweden and one in Minnesota survive him. Mr. Peterson lived for a time in Iowa and Minnesota, moving to Idaho in 1907, where he has since resided. He was a respected and loved member of the local Baptist church with which he had been affiliated for many years. A host of friends and neighbors extend deepest sympathy to the bereaved family.
