Charles Henry Mitchell Boyer

Mr. Boyer and his nephew, Melvin Hill, were cutting firewood when Mr. Boyer was stricken.
He was born Sept. 10, 1878 at Virden, the son of Joseph and Dora Reader Boyer.
He had resided in Virden his entire life with the exception of five years spent in Verona.
Mr. Boyer was a member of the Virden concert band for the last 50 years, and Girard local 1234, United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners.
He also was a member of Springfield aerie 437, Fraternal Order of Eagles.
He is survived by his wife, Clara Heilamann [sic?] Boyer, and his sister, Mrs. Mitchell.
Funeral services were at the Berry funeral home, Virden.
Burial was in Virden cemetery.
