Brother is Electrocuted on Road Near Spencer

Walter VandeMark, brother of Vern VandeMark of Lake Park, was electrocuted near Spencer on Thursday, Jan. 13. He was 48 years of age.

Walter was moving a brooder house on a truck when the structure caught on a telephone wire 3 1/2 miles east of Spencer. He climbed the house to cut the wire, which was crossed with a highline wire, and he was instantly electrocuted.

Funeral services were held Monday Jan. 17 at Spencer, with interment in Riverside Cemetery there.

Surviving are his wife and three children; his mother of near Everly; brothers Vern and Cecil of Lake Park; and five sisters.
