Betty Buster or Lester
Wayne County Outlook, 23 Dec 1909
On the 1st of December 1909, our hearts were made sad, oh so sad, by the death of our dear sweet mother. She was only sick 16 days, she was 53 years of age, so good and kind, we don't feel like we can live without her. We can not see why the good Lord took from our home a flower we cherished so highly, our dear mother, who was so pure so gentle ever ready to do all in her power to make those around her happy, it does seem so hard to have to go through this world without one so so ready to share all our earthly sorrows and cares, but we are not as those that have no hope. Our Heavenly Father has given us hope of that blessed immortality, where our troubles and cares will forever cease and the soft and balmy breath of an eternal Spring soothes the spirits soft repose in the haven of eternal rest, where we shall again meet with those on whom death laid his withering hand, and hear again the sweet voice of our mother. A meeting that shall be a reunion in the presence of God where death can never come or rob us of our dearest friends.
