Gilbert Weller was born on June 6, 1935 in Grand Prairie, Alberta. He was involved in a boating accident on Rocky Lake (north of The Pas) in Manitoba on October 4, 1957. His body was missing for months until it was recovered sometime in 1958.
He was a Leading Aircraftman in the Royal Canadian Air Force at some point in his lifetime.
His mother was Ruth May Foster (1917-2006) and his father was Frederick Reuben Weller (1911-1986). Gilbert Weller married Renate Bitter and they had two children Gilbert (born in 1955) and Grace (born in 1956).
