MISHAWAKA - Teddy Allen Byers, 70, of 709 East 12th Street, Apt. E, died at 7:19 p.m. Tuesday, January 5th, in Memorial Hospital of South Bend following a brief illness. He was born on January 26, 1939, in Coldwater, MI, to the late Charles Dwight and Brenda Evelyn (Hardesty) Byers. He lived in the Plymouth and Culver community until he was 21. He worked for the State of Indiana with the Northern Indiana Children's Hospital of South Bend, IN, in the laundry department for 32 years. On June 15, 1974, in South Bend, he married Orleva Kathleen Busick, who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death was a daughter, Judy Boocher, in April 2006. Survivors include a daughter, Kimberly Sue Byers of South Bend; granddaughter, Michele Boocher of Mishawaka; son-in-law, Donald Boocher of Mishawaka; brothers, Jim Byers of Union Mills and Charlie Byers of Plymouth. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 8th, in the Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos, IN, where friends may call two hours before services. Rev. Chuck Husted will officiate the services. Burial will be at Tippecanoe Cemetery, Tippecanoe, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to Ronald McDonald House Charities, Attn: Charitable Accounting, One Kroc Drive, Oak Brook, IL 60523.
