Mark Douglas Streets

Mark "Doug" Streets, of Coldwater, passed away Saturday, Feb. 18 at home surrounded by his family and friends after a battle with lung cancer.
Doug was born May 1, 1958 at Hillsdale hospital to Don and Charleen Streets. Doug attended Western Michigan University graduating with a finance degree in 1981. He later attended Kellogg Community College and earned a degree in Computer Programming. Doug loved the lake and fishing. When talking about fond memories of Doug they all seemed to involve a fishing tale. He also loved Nascar and especially his weekends camping out in the infield of MIS. With finance as his trade, Doug loved to spend hours analyzing the stock market and investing. Doug’s home was known as everyone's home, always open to his family and many friends.
He was proceeded in death by his K-9 companion and best friend, Bailey, his grandparents, Floyd and Irene Streets of Florida and Lou and Bessie Folk of Homer. He is survived by his parents, Donald and Charleen Streets, his sister Vickie Lyon and husband Dan Lyon, brother Jeffrey Streets and wife Michele Streets, three nephews, Jamie Doty, Cory Doty, Tyler Streets and one niece Kasey Streets.
The family would like to express a special thank you to Dr. Langworthy of Battle Creek, Dr. Booth of Homer, RN Ashley Howard of Oaklawn Home Care, long time special friends Angie Jeffrey (Ang), Jeromy Cobb (Jr.), Phil Higbea, and Bob Knowles, Thank you for your countless hours caring for Doug.
Please join us in a Celebration of Life for Doug at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24 at the First Baptist Church of Coldwater with David Pierce presiding. The Family will receive friends and family immediately after the service with a luncheon at the First Baptist Church. Doug’s wish was for his family and friends to make donations to the Make a Wish foundation in his honor. The forms will be available at the church.
