Funeral services for Marietta G Turrentine, who died Sunday night at a Mobile hospital, will be held at 8:30 am from the Roche Funeral Home followed by Mass at 9 am at St Mary's Catholic Church. Interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
Mrs Turrentine, an active and lifelong resident of Mobile, was the widow of Dr J C Turrentine.
She was a parishioner of St Mary's and belonged to the Legion of Mary. She was treasurer of Star Fish & Oyster Co. Mrs Turrentine was a member of the Altrusa Club and of the Spanish-American War Veterans Auxillary.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs William R Lauten; a son, James Ray Turrentine; two grandchildren; the mother, Mrs L P Gonzales; two brothers, Victor and Arthur Gonzales; two sisters, Mrs A U Dekle an Mrs John R Walsh, and other relatives.
