James William Bolmeyer

Surrounded by his loving family, James (Jim) William Bolmeyer of Wilmington, DE passed away on January 6, 2012 at the age of 89.
Born in East Cleveland, Ohio in 1922, Jim was the youngest of six children of the late Myrtle (Wilson) and George Bolmeyer.
Jim proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WWII as the Executive Officer on a Navy minesweeper (YMS346) operating in the Pacific arena.
After graduating with a Masters Degree in Chemical Engineering from Case Institute of Technology (now Case Western Reserve University), Jim had a career spanning 32 years (1948-1980) with the DuPont Company working mainly in the Textile Fibers Department serving in several managerial assignments.
Jim was preceded in death by all his siblings, Ethel (Bolmeyer) Thees, Ray, Ken, Frank and Dick Bolmeyer. The love of his life and wife of 63 years, Jane Catherine (Smith) Bolmeyer, passed in June, 2008. He is survived by three children; Jeffrey (Joan Erle), Jane Ann and Patrick (wife Jane) and four grandchildren, Megan, Sarah Kate Klishevich (husband Zak), Kevin and Kyle, plus many nieces and nephews in the Cleveland, Ohio area.
There will be no viewing and burial will be private.
