Michael C. Henson

No marriage record of Michael Hennessy and Mary Jordan has been found yet, but the record in the church on Bridge Street in Cleveland (1852-1858) and later in Avon, OH list the family as Hennessy.
Also there was a newspaper article in 1898 with Lizzie Hennessy, Richard Peter's first wife, used one day and then the name Lizzie Henson was used the next day.
Church records always used Hennessy. Civil records even used Henson in the 1850 census in New York. The two names were juggled back and forth, but I wager that Hennessy was the original name for Michael though he is listed as a Henson in a newspaper clipping of 1886. Also Henson in the 1870 census The 1860 census is a conundrum with the spelling being Hensull. Look at the original!
