Robert Alexander Graves was born to Ellis Graves and Rhonda "Rody" Spires ( born about 1802 in Ga. and died 1840 Lincoln Co. Ga. ) In Ga. In 1827. He died June 11, 1899 in Ala. he was married to Elizabeth Ann Paradise ( 1829 Ga.--1911 Waverly, Ala.--Tallapoosa Co.) and they had 6 children. He was a farmer--on 1860 Ala.census for Tallapoosa Co.
MARY 'MOLLIE'ELIZABETH GRAVES (1850-1927) b. June 26, 1850 in Lincoln Co. Ga. and died April 11, 1927 in Waverly, Ala. (Lee Co. or Tallapoosa Co.) She married Johnnie Jefferson Hester on Dec. 19, 1872 in Lee Co. Ala. They had 7 children (6 living on 1900 Soundex for Lee Co. Ala.) Both are buried in Canaan Cemetery.
JAMES E. GRAVES (about 1852 ?in Ga.---about 1867). At 15 years old he stepped on a nail and died with Lockjaw.

WILLIAM 'ALLEN' GRAVES (1861-1948)b. Oct 22, 1861 Tallapoosa Co. Ala. and died Dec. 4, 1948 Ala. He was married to Claudia S. Webb (1867-1901) on Dec. 19, 1889 and they lived in Waverly, Ala. They had a son James Howard Graves (1891-1972) They are buried in the Roxana Cemetery--Lee Co. Ala.
JOHN BENTLEY GRAVES (1862- 1935)b. Nov. 27, 1862 and died May 25, 1935. He was maried to Ethel E. Webb (1859-1935), Claudia's sister, on Dec. 15, 1887 on Lee Co. Ala. Their children were Newman, John Bentley Jr., and Mary Willie.
HENRY M. GRAVES (1866-1934)b.Oct 15, 1866 Lee Co. Ala. and died Jan 9, 1934 in Waverly, Ala. Henry never married. He lived with his mom, Elizabeth, til she died in 1911. All 3 of them anr buried in Canaan Cemetery.
