George Harold Hester was born Nov. 1884 in Ala. to Johnnie Jefferson Hester and his wife, Mary "Mollie" Elizabeth Graves Hester. He grew up, fell in love with Lemma Pearl "Pearly" Waldrop. They married on Feb. 7, 1906 in Waverly, Ala. He died July 22, 1917 while working on a utility pole that fell on him in Caldera, Ala--Shelby Co. Lemma died on June 5, 1918 from TB in Waverly, Ala. She was about 29 years old. Both are buried in the Canaan Cemetery. Their 3 children listed below.

Harold George Hester--b. Dec. 1, 1906. Married Vara Mae Bailey (b. 5-27-1909 Salem, Ala.--Lee Co.). in Phenix City, Ala. He died 2-28-2000 in Columbus, Ga. He was 93 years old. Vara lived a long life. Both are buried in Phenix City, Ala.--Lakeview Memory Gardens.
Mary Will Hester-- b. June 7, 1908. She married Cecil S. Bailey on June 13, 1925. Most likely, they are buried Phenix City, Ala--Lakeview Memorial Garden. (Brother and sister, married a brother and sister)
Johnnie Jefferson Hester-- b. March 14, 1910. He grew up and fell in love with Allie "Bernice" Strickland. "Bernice" was born 12-23-1914 in Meehan, Miss--Lauderdale Co. to John Howard and Emma Epsi New Strickland. They were married on Dec. 19, 1933 in Overton, Tx.--Rusk Co. Johnnie died April 9, 1983 in Tyler, Tx.---Smith Co. Bernice died Sept. 15, 1997 in Tyler, Tx.--Smith Co. Both are buried in Hawkins, Tx.--Hawkins City Cemetery--Wood Co.
