John Cheney

John Cheney (1605-1666) was born in Scotland. There he married his wife Martha Parrat (1608-1684), with whom he had ten children. In 1635, when John was 61, the family immigrated to Massachusetts, and were among the first settlers of Newbury. His name appears on the "First Settlers Monument." CHILD: Daniel Cheney (1633-1694), married Sarah Bailey (1644-1714) in 1665 in Massachusetts.
