Betty Jane Jameson

Betty Jane (Jameson) Murray, 83, of Francestown, New Hampshire died on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua.
She was born in Elyria, Ohio on August 1, 1928, the daughter of the late Leslie Wilson and Mary (Hyde) Jameson. Mrs. Murray was a graduate of Elyria, Ohio High School and received her bachelor’s degree from MB Johnson School of Nursing at Memorial Hospital in Elyria. She also received a master’s degree from New England College in Henniker in counseling. She had been a resident of Francestown for the past 7 years, and previously lived in Hollis, NH for many years.
Working as an R.N. until the age of 75, she was the past president of the NH Occupational Nurses Association working at Nashua Corporation and the former Sanders Associates. An active member of the Josiah Crosby chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, she was passionate about genealogy and volunteered at the Family History Center in Nashua, NH. Traveling to China many times, she spoke Mandarin and tutored students there. An accomplished knitter, she created many beautiful sweaters for her family.
She is survived by her family which includes her daughter, Debra and husband Stephen Frommer of Hollis, NH and Bayville, NY; a grandson, Cameron Murray Hardy and his wife Nicole, and a granddaughter, Devon Coyne and her husband Michael; and five great-grandchildren, Hollis, Owen and Tyler Coyne and Siena and Quinn Hardy.
SERVICES: There are no visiting hours. A Graveside Service will be held at East Cemetery, Wheeler Road, Hollis on Monday, September 19, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. Friends are invited to attend. She was living in Amherst NH as of 1993 and also spent time in Cape Coral Florida.
