Memorial services for Joy Nell Lunsford, 80, of Lufkin will be held in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.
Mrs. Lunsford was born December 15, 1933 in the Blackjack Community, Nacogdoches County, Texas, and died Saturday, April 12, 2014 at her residence.

Memorial services for Joy Nell Lunsford, 80, of Lufkin will be held in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Andrew G. Pittman officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.
Mrs. Lunsford was born December 15, 1933 in the Blackjack Community, Nacogdoches County, Texas to Thomas Macel and Agnes (Lankford) Power, and died Saturday, April 12, 2014 at her residence.
Formerly of Shreveport, Louisiana, Mrs. Lunsford had resided in Lufkin for the past two years. She enjoyed reading, painting, and floral arranging. She loved being "MeMaw" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Lunsford was a member of the Broadmoor Baptist Church in Shreveport, and attended Lufkin's First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, K.O. Lunsford, Jr. of Lufkin; daughters and sons-in-law, Jana and Mike Rubadue of Baltimore, Ohio and Lori and Robert Lopez of Coppell; sons and daughters-in-law, Kent and Karen Walker and Mark and Evelyn Walker, all of Lufkin; grandchildren, Randy Jackson, Jeff Jackson, Kimberly Gentry and husband Matt, Krystle Horneffer and husband Brad, Kourtney Walker, Trevor Lopez, Ethan Lopez, Matthew Webb and wife Jessica, Stacey Matthews and husband Jeff, and Carrli Webb; great-grandchildren, Stephen Gentry and Kaitlyn Gentry; and numerous other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Thomas Nelson Power.
