Funeral for the Rev. W. Raymond Corrigan, 91, of Decatur was to be Wednesday, Aug. 27 at 10 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Decatur. Dr. Thomas O. Brumett was to officiate, to be assisted by the Rev. Gene Gordon. Burial was to follow at Oaklawn Cemetery in Decatur.
Corrigan died Monday, Aug. 25, 2003, in Decatur.

Born Sept. 8, 1911, in Liverpool, to Thomas and Margaret Corrigan, he married Evelyn Garrett on Nov. 25, 1937, in Shreveport, La. He received his license to preach Sept. 8, 1932. He received his bachelor of arts degree from Centenary Colege in Shreveport in June 1937. He became an ordained deacon on Nov. 19, 1939 and was ordained as an elder in the North Texas Conference on Oct. 26, 1941. He received his bachelor of divinity degree from SMU in 1944.
He served as minister at the First United Methodist Church in Decatur from June 1956 to September of 1964. After retiring in 1976, he moved back to Decatur where he served the Allison Church until 1984.
He enjoyed horse backriding and working around cattle. Following his retirement, he worked for several years on the Ferguson Ranch.
He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Margaret Bennett and husband Wade of Richardson; two grandsons, Carey Ward and wife Beth and Brian Bennett; three great-grandchildren and one sister, Bertha Hill of Fredericksburg.
