Mrs. Gladys Barclay McGowan, 100, died peacefully Thursday, April 10, 2008 in Liberty after an extended illness.
She was born December 14, 1907 in Tyler County to parents Jonathan Frank and Mary Lela Flowers Barclay and was life long resident of this area. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, and cooking for her family. Mrs. McGowan was also an avid reader. Services for Mrs. McGowan will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, April 13, 2008 at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Piatt officiating. Interment will follow at Magnolia Park Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands: Joe Davis Bradshaw and Joe McGowan; sons: William "Bill" Benjamin Bradshaw and Ray Lynn Bradshaw.She is survived by her daughters: Linda Jamison and husband Bob of Dayton, and Leila Warner and husband Jake of Dayton; son: Robert Joseph Bradshaw and wife Jeanette of Crosby; grandchildren: Russell, Gay, Jo-An, Jay, Jimmy, Bobby, Ronnie, Timothy, Sandra, Derek and Phillip; also numerous great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, numerous other relatives and friends.
