Edith Ann Vecera

Edith Ann Juenger passed away on January 16, 2020 at the age of 97. Born on the farm in Plum, Texas, she was the second child and oldest daughter of Frank and Annie Srubar Vecera. She Attended Plum and Hostyn Schools, and Durhams Business College in Austin. After moving to Houston, she worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. Edith met her husband Charles at the wedding of a friend and they were married on September 6, 1948 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Plum. She was the loving mother of seven children whom they raised in Houston and Baytown,Texas and Jenks, Oklahoma. Edith was a member of KJZT, the Catholic Family Fraternal of Texas.
She was preceeded in death by her husband Charles, brothers Alfred and Edwin, sisters Annie and Alice, and her grandson Aaron.
Left to cherish her memory are her children and their spouses Kay and Allen Clark, Ken Juenger, Gary and Cassandra Juenger, Jo Ann and David Wasicek, Charlene Juenger, Marlene and Lealan Walker, and Bill and Phyllis Juenger, eleven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Edith and Charles were among the first parishioners of St Bernard of Clairveaux Catholic Church in Jenks and Tulsa. At the conclusion of her Funeral Mass, her remains will be placed in the columbarium at St Bernard Church, next to those of her husband.
Edith supported charities that served American War Veterans. Those wishing to honor her memory may gift one of those organizations.
Rosary will be held on Thursday, January 23, 7:00 p.m. followed by the funeral Mass on Friday, January 24, 11:00 a.m. at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Catholic Church, Tulsa.
