Parr, 70, ofOsage, who died of a heart attack at his home, probably early Fridaymorning. He was found in his bed by his son, Charles Parr, Fridayafternoon. The Rev. Percy Bruns, pastor of the Baptist church inRiceville was in charge of the services at the Champion Funeral Home.Burial was in Wayne Cemetery at McIntire. David Ronald Parr was bornnear Russell, Iowa, April 10, 1887, the son of Mr. and Mrs. BeaufordAndrew Parr. He attended the schools at Russell and was baptized inthe United Brethern Church there at an early age. His marriage to AdaGriffin took place at Bailey, December 18, 1913. Mr. Parr was a bridgeforeman, and for a time the family lived at Ottumwa. Later, working asan interior decorator, they lived in Waterloo. In 1942, they moved toHayward, Calfornia,a nd in the fall of 1948, they returned to Osage.Moving to Ricevillein 1951, Mr. Parr remained there until the death ofhis wife, Ada, on April 10, 1956. Since the time he has lived in Osagenear his son, Charles. He was preceded in death by his wife, hisparents, and one sister. Ssurving are his sons, Charles of Osage, andDouglas of Hayward, Calfiornia., a daughter, Mrs. C.D. Rice of Osage;four grandchildren; two brothers, Jim of Long Beach, and Ernie ofRussell; and two sister, Mrs. Jane Long and Laura of Russell.
