Fred H. Moss, 75, retired Kokomo High School teacher, died Fridaymorning in the St. Joseph Memorial Hospital following a several-monthillness. His home was at 804 Hillcrest Dr.
He came to Kokomo ini 1922 to teach in the high school here where hewas a member of the mathematics department. He retired in 1962.
He received a bachelor of arts degree in education from IndianaUniversity and a master of arts degree from the University ofMichigan.
He taught in the Goshen Public Schools for a short time before comingto Kokomo.
Born Jan. 12, 1897, in Cass County, he was the son of Moses and Mary(Davis) Moss.
He was a member of Main Street Christian Church and had served withthe U. S. Navy during World War I.
On July 20, 1945, he was married to Juanita Britton, who survives withtwo daughters, Mrs. Anthony (Sherry) Mayfield, Kokomo, and Mrs.Richard (Linda) Campbell, Delphi; a granddaughter, and two brothers,Homer Moss, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Jesse Moss Kokomo R.R.2. Abrother and a sister are deceased.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the Fenn Funeral Homewith the Rev. Raymond Kays officiating. Burial will be in MemorialPark Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Fenn Funeral Home between 2-5 and 7-9 p.m.Sunday. The family prefers memorials to be made to the buildingfund ofMain Street Christian Church."
