"Services Planned Friday For Converse Man Killed in Crash -
Funeral services for Victor Oneal McDowell, 22, Converse, will be at 2p.m. Friday in the Larrison Funeral Home in Converse. The Rev. CharlesReickenbach will officiate. Burial will be in the Converse Cemetery.
McDowell was found about 6:15 a.m. Tuesday, near Bowman Road north ofRed Bridge in Wabash County. Officials said McDowell was killed about5 a.m. when his car missed a curve in the road, went over anembankment and rolled three times.
Born in Peru, Nov. 15, 1945, McDowell has lived in the Converse areafor 12 years.
McDowell recently returned from service with the U. S. Army stationedin Vietnam. He was a member of the VFW and was employed at the RCAplant in Marion.
Surviving with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Victor McDowell, Converse,are two sisters. Mrs. Stan Dyson, Wabash, and Miss Nancy McDowell,Converse; two brothers, John G. and Kevin L. McDowell, Converse; thematernal grandmother, Mrs. Raymond Lett and the paternal grandmother,Mrs. Roy McDowell, both of Kokomo.
Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Thursday."
