Cochran, Frank Hamilton and FredBohn. Mr. McDowell was born April 25, 1890, in Union county, Oregon,and had lived in southern Oregon for the past 50 years. He lived inLakeview for a time, then went to Ashland, where he attended AshlandNormal school. On Aug. 6, 1916, in Condon, Ore., he was married to FayEtta Jones, who survives. Also surviving are a son, James C., Talent;a daughter, Mrs. Margrett E. Jones, Weatherford, Tex.; two brothers,W. Clark, Central Point; and Layton C., Talent; four sisters, Mrs.Ethel H. Widing, Sacramento; Mrs. Vi Ament, Medford; Mrs. LauraBristow, Medford, and Lee McDowell, Jacksonville; and fourgrandchildren.
