If it was this Eliza who married George Smithson, why was she livingat home with name of Eliza Frazier?

[Eliza J. Frazier was an only child. When she was 5 they moved to Iowanear Lyndon (sic). (Linden). Eliza J. Smithson was age 29 in 1880 andEliza was age 50 in 1900. She was a member of the Baptist church. Inthe 1880 census Eliza indicates that her father was born in IN and hermother in VA. Her pension was being sent to her at Box 323, Afton,Iowa at the time she died.

She was the only child of Mr. and Mrs.Henry Frazier of Illinois. When she was five years of age her parentsbrought her to Iowa, where they settled on a farm near Lyndon (sic).She was married to George Leslie [sic] Smithson in 1866. To this unioneight children were born, six of whom are living. Two daughters, InaNella and Lulu Bell, passed away a number of years ago. Her husbandpreceded her in death eight years. Those living are Frank L. Smithsonof St. Joseph, Mo., Mrs. Clint Taylor of Centerville, Iowa, Mrs. WillTrotter of Afton, Iowa, Bird Smithson of Falls City, Neb., DallasSmithson of Mount Ayr, Iowa, and W. T. Smithson of
St. Joseph, Mo., who mourn her death.
Mrs. Smithson passed away Friday at the home of her daughter, Mrs.Clint Taylor. Funeral services were conducted at ten o-clock on Mondayby Rev. Alexander Robertson of the Baptist church of Centerville. Themusic was furnished by Mrs. Robertson and Miss Beulah Smith. west of town this morning for Mrs. G. W. Smithson, mother of Mrs.Taylor. Rev. A. Robertson preached the sermon, and Mrs. Robertson andMiss Beulah Smith sang.
Eliza Jane Fraser was born in Ohio June 19, 1849. When five years ofage she with her parents moved to Linden, Iowa which became the familyhome. She was married when 17 years of age to George Wesley Smithson,who prededes her in death, passing away eight years ago this comingAugust. Eight children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Smithson: Ina Zella,who died in infancy; Frank Leslie, living in St. Joe; Mo., Mrs. OphieTaylor of Centerville; Mrs. Will Trotter of Afton, Ia.; Mrs.Deatherage, deceased; Bird of Falls City, Nebr; Dallas L., Mount Ayr,Iowa; W. T. of St. Joe, Mo. Mrs. Smithson united with the Baptistchurch of Mt. Ayr forty-four years ago and has been a faithful memberof that church ever since. For the past two and one-half years she hasbeen helpless and dependent as a result of a paralytic stroke. OnWednesday of last week Mrs. Taylor brought her here in the expectationof her remaining with her for some time, but on Friday her heavenlyFather called her to her eternal home. The remains were taken to Mt.Ayr, the old home, where she will be laid to rest beside her husband.The six surviving children will be present for the burial services.]
