Union Co., IN, Book C page 435 of Deeds says: "This Indenture made thefourteenth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand Eighthundred and twenty nine between Michael Snider and Eve Snider his wifeformerly Eve Ely, daughter and heir at law of Simon Ely, deceased,Henry Miller and Esther Miller his wife daughter and heir at law ofthe said Simon Ely, Adam Ely son and heir at law of the said Simon Elyand Elizabeth Ely wife of the said Adam Ely, James Fisher and KatharinFisher his wife daughter and heirs at law of the said Simon Ely JohnConn and Lucrecey Conn his wife son of Samuel Conn and Hannah Connformerly Hannah Ely and heir at law of the said Simon Ely and WilliamConn son of Samuel Conn and Hannah his wife as aforesaid heir at lawas aforesaid and Elizabeth Conn his wife Adam E. Conn son of SamuelConn and Hanna Conn as aforesaid heir at law as aforesaid and Mary hiswife, James Scott and Hanna Scott his wife formerly Hanna Conndaughter and heir at law of Samuel Conn aforesaid who was heir at lawof Simon Ely aforesaid and Richard C. Paris and Eve Paris his wifeformerly Eve Conn daughter of Samuel Conn and Hanna Conn aforesaidwhoare heirs at law of said Simon Ely aforesaid all of the County ofUnion and State of Indiana, of the one part and Charles Pigman andAdam Pigman of the County and State aforesaid. Witnesseth that thesaid parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum oftwo hundred and twenty seven dollars and eighty one and one fourthcents to them in hand well and truly paid by the said party of thesecond part, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have grantedbargained sold and conveyed, and by these presents do grant, bargain,sell and convey unto the said party of the second part their heirs andassigns forever, all their and their respective right title interestclaim and demand whatsoever, of in and to their parts of FractionSection No. thirty two in Township No. eleven in Range two West of themeridian line drawn from the mouth of the great Miami River, and alsoa part of Section No. fie in Township No. ten in Range aforesaid, andalso a part of Section No. nineteen iin township No. thirteen in Rangefourteen East of the Second principal meridian line in the district ofLand directed to be sold at Cincinnati Ohio, and lying and being inthe County aforesaid, and including the respective shares of theparties of the first part, in all the lands of which the said SimonEly died seized and possessed and which decended (sic) to the saidparties of the first part, together with other heires of said SimonEly deceased, claiming three shares in addition to the claims of theparties of the first part, and all the estate, right, title and claimof the said parties of the first part, of in and to the premisesaforesaid and all interest of the said parties of the first part tothe rents issues and profits of in and to the premises aforesaid. Tohave and to hold the said premises so as aforesaid sold and conveyedand all the estate of the parties of the first part, of in and to thepremises aforesaid to the said Charles Pigman and Adam Pigman astenants in common and their heirs and assigns forever. And the saidparties of the first part for themselves severally and for theirexecutors administrators covenant promise and agree to and with thesaid Charles Pigman and Adam Pigman their heirs and assigns that theythe said parties of the first part are legally seized and proposed ofothe premises as before recited and mentioned, as copartners in saidpremises, and that they have good right full power and lawfulauthority to sell and convey the same in manner and form aforesaid.And that they and each for their respectie interest in the premisescovenant to and with the said Charles Pigman and Adam Pigman theirheirs and assigns, to warrant and defend their respective interests inthe premises aforesaid against all persons claiming title under theiror eitiher of them or from or under the said Simon Ely for the trueperformance of this warranty they and each of them bind their heirsand assigns respectively. Conn and Mary Conn his wife, John Conn and Lucretia Conn hiswife, the above named grantors and severally acknowledged theassignment of the above Indenture to be their voluntary act and deedfor the uses and purposes therein expressed and contained andElizabeth Ely Hannah Scott Mary Conn and Lucretia Conn and beingexamined separate and apart from their husbands severally acknowledgedthe assignment of the above indenture to be their voluntary act anddeed, without and coersion or compulsion from their said husbands; Intestimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 14thSeptember A.D. 1829, John Templeton, Justice of the Peace.
