Leaving in notes, in case there was a typo in theyear. Also, the gedcom showed him born in Quincy, Adams Co., IL, butall census' show him born Missouri.

Farmer; Sec. 9; P. O. Greencastle; born in Pike Co., Missouri in 1820;came to Adams Co., Illinois in 1827; thence to Jasper Co. in 1847. Has230 acres of land, valued at $45 per acre. Married Miss Ann HENDERSONin 1841. She was born in Trenton, New Jersey in 1821. They have eightchildren - Jonathan, George W., Charles C., James M., Mary A., EllenE., Albert M., Armilda A. Democrat. Has held all of the Schooloffices, Road Supervisor, Township Trustee. At the time of Mr.Edward's coming to Jasper Co., there were no settlers on the forks ofthe Skunk River and Indian Creek, except Mr. HAMLIN; it beingnecessary to go to Oskaloosa and Lynn Grove, ten miles, and at onetime to Apple Grove by water."
