about Josephus Duncan
Name: Josephus Duncan
Age or Birth Date: 14 Jan 1820 # IA
Death Date: 1 Jul 1898
Issue Date: 21 Jul 1898
The above database at ancestry.com would indicate that Josephus died in Pike Co., MO, and taken to Iowa for burial. BUT in 2016, looking at the sources, it seems to be books abstracting deaths from newspaper. Since he still had family in Pike County, it is likely there would have been something in the newspaper even if he died in Iowa. And note that the line with Age has "# IA".
