Individual Details
John DIXON
(Bet 1780 and 1800 - Bet 27 Oct 1846 and 29 Oct 1846)
Believe John may be connected to Joseph Dixon.
An undated statement of account by the administrator of John's estate lists money advanced to John's children: Mary Starbuck, Elizabeth Biddle, Matilda Bowman, Nancy Harter and Rachel Hittle.
This family group, first name of wife and names of 7 children along with names of all the females' spouses, came from a book of abstracts of Darke Co., OH, Common Pleas Court Records, petition to sell land, dated 5 Jul 1847. Can't be positive this is same John Dixon, though. The son, Alexander, in the Common Pleas filing was a minor. Is possible, though.

It appears there were at least two men named John Dixon/Dickson in the Darke Co. area 1840 and previous. Data for the one in Neave Twp. could be similar, though there are two children, one male and one female, not accounted for. They could have died early, or the female could be Margaret since a DOB hasn't been estimated for her as of 8/26/05.
